The Opportunity
My client is seeking an Entry-Level Sales Associate to support business development and appointment setting for a growing middle-market M&A advisory firm. You will connect with owners exploring business sales, recapitalizations, or growth capital raises and identify those ready to speak with a senior advisor.
This is a relationship-focused prospecting role, not a financial modeling or transaction execution position. You will receive structured training and use documented scripts, outreach sequences, and qualification criteria to turn initial conversations into qualified advisor meetings.
What You Will Do
• Contact business owners and decision-makers from assigned prospect lists, working roughly three live leads per workday.
• Learn and follow the firm’s proven scripts, outreach sequences, qualification criteria, and objection-handling methods.
• Ask thoughtful questions to assess genuine interest in selling a business or raising capital, as well as timing.
• Schedule qualified Google Meet consultations with senior advisors, targeting approximately one meeting per day.
• Keep prospective clients engaged when their transaction plans are longer term.
• Follow up consistently through multiple touches to develop conversations into meetings.
• Record outreach, prospect responses, appointments, and next steps accurately in the tracking system.
• Refer questions about valuations, deal terms, and transaction structures to senior advisors.
What You Bring
• Interest in building a sales career; prior outbound sales experience is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn and consistently follow a documented outreach and qualification process.
• Curiosity about businesses, M&A transactions, and capital raising, with commitment to training.
• Clear communication, active listening, professionalism, and comfort speaking with business owners.
• Persistence with prospecting, organized follow-up, and dependable activity tracking.
• Ability to work in a commission-only role with a typical 60 to 75 day wait before initial commissions.
• Full-time availability Monday through Friday; this is not a part-time opportunity.
• Must be based in the United States.
Why Join
Start with one-day systems onboarding, guided script and methodology training, objection-handling practice, group sales training three times weekly, a weekly 1:1, and a library of 30+ recorded calls. Develop practical origination skills with a documented opportunity to progress into a Vice President, Business Development role.
