This role is located on-site at our corporate headquarters in Olathe, KS! Successful Project Managers ensure construction project objectives are met by specified dates and within budget by partnering with general contractors and managing submittals, plans, and specifications. We are seeking candidates who have a Construction Management degree or two years of work experience as a Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Engineer at a construction/service company, sub-contractor, property management firm, or similar work environment.Job Responsibilities:Review construction project plans and specifications to determine materials needed, ordering materials, operate within customer specified budget parameters, and working with outside vendors to coordinate schedules and installsDirect and coordinate activities to ensure projects are progressing on schedule and within the budgeted scope; review status reports prepared by staff and clients and providing updates as neededAbility to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and effectively communicate the technical findings of technicians to our clients and customersMust be able to master project coordinating and problem solving by using good judgment and forecastingFollow administrative procedures and processes for the management of projects on time and under budgetMonitors and reviews all projects to ensure quality standards and customer expectations are metMonitor submittals/track job materialsDetermine innovative solutions to any/all problems concerning execution of jobsHelp maintain job files by gathering information to ensure projects are completed and billed accuratelyWork with our strategic partners and internal service team in establishing and adhering to service level agreementsMaintain and promote a positive attitude toward customers and fellow employees regardless of the circumstancesOther responsibilities as assignedJob Qualifications:Construction Management Degree or Two (2) years' experience as a Project Coordinator or Assistant Project Manager/Engineer for a construction/service company, sub-contractor, or property management firm preferredCandidates will need to have a high attention to detail and enjoy a fast-paced work environment that is very deadline focusedMechanically minded or inclinedStrong mathematical ability; must verify bids for accuracyProficient in Excel, Word, and OutlookExcellent communication, customer relations, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage — available your first full monthGenerous paid time off plus paid holidays and floating holidaysCompany-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability401(k) with employer matchHealth Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) optionsVoluntary benefits including supplemental life and critical illness coverageEmployee discounts for you and your immediate familyCompetitive compensation with annual performance reviewsSuccessful completion of employment verifications, background check, drug screen, and driving record (if applicable) required in advance of hire.DH Pace Company, Inc.
