The Entry Level Diesel Technician will support the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks and a mixed fleet under the guidance of the shop foreman. This role combines formal apprenticeship, mentorship with senior technicians, and on-the-job training while emphasizing scheduled preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, inspections and compliance, and customer repair orders.
Responsibilities
- Inspect heavy-duty trucks and mixed-fleet vehicles.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Support engine repairs and parts replacement.
- Complete brake service and oil changes.
- Assist with breakdown repairs.
- Perform inspections and support compliance requirements.
- Document repairs and complete customer repair orders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in diesel vehicle maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety compliance.
