Entry Electrical EngineerWright-Pierce, an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater and civil infrastructure, is seeking an Entry Electrical Engineer to join our company. The position entails a wide variety of challenging projects requiring unique and creative approaches.ResponsibilitiesEvaluation, design and construction engineering for water/wastewater treatment, civil infrastructure and industrial facilities including low to medium voltage power distribution systems, process control systems, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, security systems and communications systems.Prepare technical writing including memoranda, letters, reports, specifications, and submittal reviews.Proactively coordinate work with other design disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects to produce a fully coordinated set of bidding documentsDevelop construction cost estimates.Perform site inspections for studies, design, and construction projects.Perform field visits to review contractor's work and resolve field related issuesPerform field visits to observe contractor's demonstration testing of electrical gearMentor and delegate to staff.Monitor budget status for assigned projects.Essential FunctionsEffective written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skillsEffective organization and time management skillsAble to build strong relationship with coworkersAble to work efficiently on multiple projects while meeting budgets and scheduleAble to work with others in a multi-office environment using Microsoft Teams and BluebeamCommitted to continual learningExcellent attention to detailWillingness to do what it takes to get the job doneExperience0-3 years of experience, preferably in the water/wastewater fieldFamiliarity with the National Electric CodeFamiliarity with industrial control system narratives and P&IDs considered a plusExperience using Revit/AutoCAD/Bluebeam preferred but not required.CertificationsEngineer in Training Certification preferredEducationBS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering TechnologyMS Degree in Electrical Engineering considered a plusOffice Location(s)Portland, METopsham, MEPortsmouth, NHYour BenefitsWright-Pierce's goal is to foster a culture of health and wellness.
