KBR (formerly LinQuest) is the prime contractor on the MSEIT contract. You will join a systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force (USSF) satellite communications. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will provide senior-level enterprise systems engineering and technical leadership for SATCOM capabilities, leading enterprise architecture development, requirements and technical baseline management, systems integration, risk analysis, governance, and decision-support activities. The position requires extensive coordination with government, acquisition, operational, and industry stakeholders to ensure technical alignment, interoperability, and successful capability delivery across the SATCOM enterprise.The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force's Space Systems Center (SSC).

We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.Responsibilities:Apply Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) to support development of technical baselinesAnalyze system requirements that define the technical baseline and verification of the technical baselineWork with Government and contractor personnel to close gaps in flow of customer requirements down through the system and component levelsLead and supporting Government/Contractor Working Group meetings—by creating briefings, leading discussion, and writing minutes—to resolve risks, requirement gaps, integration issues, and action itemsReview proposed changes to the technical baseline for impacts to enterprise capabilities and to cross-stakeholder integration concernsFacilitate review of program documents by providing comments, compiling other reviewer comments, and working with contractor to adjudicate the comments.Serve as a subject matter expert to assess technical issues and to prepare briefings to U.S. Space Force managementSupport management of risks, issues, interdependencies, identifying schedule disconnects and conflicts, developing action plans for resolution, and assisting the Government in executing selected solutionsRequired:Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearanceBachelor's degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, or network and telecommunications5+ years demonstrated experience in systems engineeringFamiliarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools used to support requirements development and traceabilitySolid analytical and problem-solving skillsOrganization capability with ability to handle competing prioritiesStrong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skillsDemonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to customers, senior leaders, and stakeholdersProficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Preferred:Secret or higher clearanceMaster's degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, or network and telecommunicationsDemonstrated experience with MILSATCOM, such as AEHF, EPS, WGS, and FAB-T terminal programsExperience working with military or DoD civilian clientsExperience with ground and airborne systems, such as terminals and networksCertifications in Systems Engineering (INCOSE ESEP, CSEP)Certifications in MBSE (OCSMP)Certifications in Agile DevelopmentKnowledge and experience in Jira and ConfluenceBasic Compensation: $110,000-$138,000 in Colorado Springs, CO and $121,000-$151,000 in El Segundo, CA.The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Ready to Make a Difference?
