Platform Solution ArchitectPrime Therapeutics is going through an exciting transformation and is building a team to define and manage Prime’s next generation technology and infrastructure platforms. The Platform Solution Architect is responsible for providing leadership from an enterprise-wide perspective in the definition, design, review, selection, and communication of solutions for Prime’s core platform, cloud and infrastructure services.

The role is responsible for being highly collaborative and interactive across multiple areas to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects to ensure strategy alignment. This position will report into Enterprise Architecture and will support Prime’s Platform and Operations IT capabilities. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of one or more architecture domains, deep Platform and Infrastructure Architecture experience, and will have led modernization efforts leveraging public cloud platforms, platform engineering, and Infrastructure-as-code.ResponsibilitiesActively manage, communicate, and market the platform strategy and intent via creation and maintenance of reference architectures, architecture blueprints, roadmaps and executive presentationsLead the analysis and design of cloud and data center based infrastructure solutions with forward thinking strategies around automation, connectivity, security, monitoring and operational controls.Promote the convergence of Prime’s infrastructure and technologies towards a rationalized set of cloud-enabled core platforms to improve agility, optimize costs and remove duplication.Partner and collaborate with domain architects and engineers to define and oversee all aspects of architecture, design, techniques and technologies for platform servicesEngage in guiding business/IT in optimal platform based solves which are grounded in technology target architectureInform business and IT leaders of opportunities and constraints presented by the organization's current state and target state through capability maturity and IT service and technology health assessmentsAlign the infrastructure architecture with company's business goals and objectives by directly influencing the company’s strategic investment planDevelop policies, standards, guidelines and reference implementations that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the enterpriseGuide and coach the organization on fit-for-purpose practices, patterns, solutions and technologyCollaborate with leaders, architects, developers and engineers to develop overall solutions, including option analysis and tradeoffs that properly balance both IT and business constraints.Govern architecturally significant work, aligning it with business and IT strategies, through architectural reviews, solution architecture and technical architecture collaborationLead and support technology innovations and architecture initiatives to enable superior business outcomesWork with vendors and do independent research to architect and design state of the art technology and infrastructure platformsOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required10 years of overall IT experience with 5 years of direct experience working as an IT Architect5 years of experience in design, development, and implementation of solutions at an enterprise levelMust be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorshipAdditional QualificationsIn-depth knowledge of two or more architectural domains (platform, infrastructure, technology, and/or security architecture)Experience as a senior level architect working on significant enterprise change initiativesExperience with Platform Engineering enablement or implementation.Expert understanding of core, modern infrastructure architecture, and cloud computingIn-depth knowledge of infrastructure as code approaches, technologies and tools, multi cloud networking patterns, cloud services and modern cloud security controls.Proven track record of successfully modernizing infrastructure architecture using cloud or cloud-enabled servicesDemonstrated experience leading teams as well as creating individual contributions/deliverablesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to proactively communicate at multiple levels: executive to individual contributor.Strong self-management skills in multiple-priority, high ambiguity situationsAbility to communicate via presentations, words and picturesComfortable with resolving conflicting viewpoints and achieving consensusCollaborative work styleStrong sense of personal accountability for resultsMinimum Physical Job RequirementsAbility to travel up to 5% of the timeConstantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk, and hearFrequently required to reach with hands and armsOccasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, and crouchOccasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
