Responsibilities and Requirements
- Design, configure, and manage network infrastructure within Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure cloud environments.
- Design and implement highly available, fault‑tolerant cloud network architectures, including multi‑region and multi‑Availability Zone deployments, resiliency patterns, and automated failover solutions.
- Implement hybrid cloud connectivity using AWS Transit Gateway and Azure ExpressRoute.
- Provision and manage Virtual Cross Connects (VXCs) with Megaport services to enable secure private connectivity between cloud and on‑premises environments.
- Manage network traffic, including ingress/egress routing, traffic optimization, path selection, and high‑availability network design across distributed cloud environments.
- Deploy, configure, and manage cloud‑native load balancing services such as AWS Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), Azure Load Balancer, and Azure Application Gateway.
- Deploy and manage virtual firewall solutions, including third‑party NVAs such as Palo Alto VM‑Series and Cisco CSR 8000v, and native cloud security controls.
- Apply cloud networking security constructs, including AWS Security Groups, Azure Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Network Access Control Lists (NACLs).
- Design and implement Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and VNet peering, hybrid connectivity solutions, and multi‑region or multi‑cloud architectures, including integration through Megaport services.
- Configure and manage Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) in cloud, hybrid, and multi‑cloud network environments.
- Apply secure network architecture, access control, segmentation, and compliance‑aligned design practices.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum six (6) years of experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud‑based network infrastructure in AWS and Azure environments.
- Minimum four (4) years designing and implementing highly available and resilient cloud network architectures, including failover, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Minimum four (4) years of hands‑on experience with AWS and Azure networking services, including Transit Gateway, ExpressRoute, load balancing, routing, and hybrid connectivity.
- Minimum four (4) years implementing and supporting Megaport services, including VXC provisioning and private cloud connectivity.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in network traffic engineering, routing optimization, network segmentation, firewall deployment (native cloud firewalls and NVAs), and secure connectivity design.
Education and Certifications
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate.
