The Process Engineer - Payroll (ERP) participates as a payroll functional expert in an integrated process team to collect and interpret information from the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) and Local Education Agency system users for business process analyses, documentation of functional specifications, system configuration, user system testing, business process re-engineering, and system user training and support. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.Experience: Four years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing and payroll systems support or in payroll systems implementation. Year(s) of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement may substitute for education on a year-to-year basis for up to two years. Current professional certification in one of the following may substitute for two years of required education: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification, Human Resource Information Professional (HRIP) Certification, Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRMCP) or equivalent.Additional Requirements: Experience as a user of ERP payroll systems or implementing ERP systems in a California public sector (e.g., K-12 school district, community college, office of education) payroll unit is preferred. A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certificate is preferred.
A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required.
