Essential Job Functions
- Lead design of multiple simultaneous projects, develop and maintain core architectural constructs, provide architectural leadership to relevant teams from various location across the globe
- Architect solutions across multiple IT environments and Business system components, envision solution for projects / programs / applications
- Research, evaluate, and select from existing and emerging technologies the options best fitting business and IT strategic needs
- Communicate critical technical choices, specify requirements and constraints for design and implementation, and provide input for scoping the level effort for development projects
- Provide a long-term vision for the platform, taking into account changes in technology within the context of ITS current implementation and our feature roadmap
- Advise on deployment strategies for new features and components, assessing if rollout plans are safe, progressive, and reversible
- In-depth understanding of the business environment, its processes and complexities of the corporation and apply the knowledge towards the proposed work program.
- Design and validate solutions that are practical, flexible, scalable, reusable, and strategic
- Coordinate effort within different IT groups including Enterprise Architecture, Office of Information Security, Data Management Office as and when needed.
- Interact with the Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Platform teams to ensure that solutions are built in adherence with the defined enterprise standards
- Contribute to the development of a body of generally applicable methods, procedures, and deliverables
- Recognize and identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion
- Present, discuss, and walk through the merits of the solutions recommendations with a group of enterprise architects
- Institute and lead the adoption of best practices and standards, to improve the quality of the deliverables
- Ensure best practices are adhered to in the adoption of new technologies
- Manage daily technical challenges and communicate with management if there are any risks or issues
- Stay abreast of the latest technologies and tools being used to improve IT development and delivery
- Understanding of security best practices and standards
Educational Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
- Experience in the design and delivery of enterprise architecture products and artifacts
- Experience working with clients in multiple domains and executed multi-year projects working in a multi-vendor environment.
- Up to date with new trends, best practices and range of tools used in projects and applications.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Facilitate cloud architecture workshops with business stakeholders and hyperscaler vendors
- Demonstrated experience designing and governing enterprise-scale multi‑cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, GCP, and/or OCI, including hybrid and on‑prem integrations.
- Proven ability to evaluate, integrate, and adopt emerging technologies, including AI/ML and agentic AI, while ensuring enterprise governance and operational readiness.
- Proven ability to embed security, compliance, resiliency, and FinOps controls by design, working closely with security and risk stakeholders.
- Strong track record leading end‑to‑end solution design for PaaS, SaaS, containerized, and AI‑enabled workloads in complex enterprise environments.
- Hands‑on experience establishing standardized integration patterns across IAM, networking, SIEM, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and observability platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with strong scripting skills to support scalable, repeatable platform delivery.
- Knowledge in the development of application standards, architecture products, artifacts, and standardization processes
- Good knowledge of one or more areas of architecture practice
- Excellent communication, writing, documentation and facilitation skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong diplomatic, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- High level of creativity and lateral thinking
- Ability to provide training, coaching support for architecture projects
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization (this includes written and verbal communications, as well as visualizations)
