Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Master's degree and 10 years experience.
- Master's degree must be in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or Mathematics.
- In lieu of a Master's degree, candidate must possess an additional 4 years of relevant experience or specialized training and one of the following active certifications: CISSO, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GCIA, GCLD, GCSA, or GICSP.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience designing and managing hybrid cloud/on-premise environments.
- Proficiency with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP).
- Strong understanding of networking, identity management, virtualization, and storage technologies.
- Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, DODAF, or SABSA.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- TOGAF certification.
- Experience supporting federal or DoD programs.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to support the design, integration, and governance of a hybrid cloud and on-premise environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise across cloud platforms and legacy infrastructure, with a proven ability to align technology strategy with mission and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks spanning hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure
- Develop and enforce architecture standards, patterns, and governance policies across the environment
- Lead the integration of cloud-native services with existing on-premise systems, ensuring interoperability, security, and scalability
- Collaborate with stakeholders, engineering teams, and leadership to define and execute technology roadmaps
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for adoption aligned with organizational goals
- Support migration planning and execution for workloads transitioning between on-premise and cloud environments
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and data governance requirements across all platforms
- Produce and maintain architecture documentation, including reference architectures, solution designs, and decision records
This position is fully on-site M-F in the Baltimore-Metropolitan area.
