Job Description
In this position, you will be working with the Sr Series Engineer from the Electric Machine Mechanical Design team on the next generation of electric motors for Company Electric Adventure Vehicles. You will support Manufacturing tasks that involve the assembly and development of motor subcomponents and motor assemblies by assisting in data collection and analysis, troubleshooting, along with tracking of parts for trials, quality issues, and general part sorting
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate directly with Senior Series Engineers and cross-functional teams to streamline daily engineering efforts, operational tracking, and documentation.
  • Gather, measure, track, and quality-check components required for engineering trials and validation runs.
  • Coordinate, ship, receive, pack, unpack and track parts across facilities to ensure smooth operational flow and on-time trial completion.
  • Participate actively in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to trace defect sources and implement effective containment actions.
  • Partner effectively with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams across Company organization.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Tech-savvy with strong computer skills and the ability to quickly master new software, and engineering tracking tools.
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry automotive parts or material bins weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally, 35 lbs regularly, and move parts around the plant
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and navigate an active automotive production floor for extended periods.
  • Willingness to comply with all safety protocols, including wearing required PPE (steel-toed boots, safety glasses, high-visibility vests).
  • Automotive manufacturing a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret basic automotive engineering prints/drawings
  • Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis tools (e.g., 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams, standard containment procedures).
  • High-energy, open-minded attitude willing to quickly iterate on repetitive tasks, trials, and able to expand skillset as needed
