Your next opportunity:

The Engineering Team Lead is an engineering management position responsible for providing technical engineering oversight and design team management for engineering projects for which they are assigned. This technical management role is responsible for financial, resource allocation, logistic and technical leadership of projects and has the capability to mentor and train staff under their supervision.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage all aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs, and project meeting minutes.

  • Supervise and direct overall project activities as assigned by the Head of Programs including but not limited to planning and coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, ensuring all company/project policies, procedures and standards are maintained and consistent. Project activities may include the following based on competency and bandwidth to perform:

  • Maintain change order, submittal, and document (drawing) control logs; prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.

  • Create contract submittals that are accurate and timely for submission review.

  • Create and issue the subcontractors’ contracts.

  • Create and timely deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals.

  • Monitor the project quality control plan to ensure it is being followed and documented issues are being identified for corrective action.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure that we have obtained the correct documentation and drawings for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.

  • Ensure the warranty log is up to date.

  • Represent the company/project in meetings with client, subcontractors, etc.

  • Cooperate with and technically assist field personnel assigned to the area of responsibility.

  • Monitor other contractors’ activities and progress.

  • Additional duties may be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.

What you bring to us:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences.

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of engineering experience.

  • Registration as a licensed U.S.-based Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required.

  • Field (startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting) experience is strongly recommended.

  • Education and experience can be combined.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required.

  • Strong organizational, record‑keeping, and follow‑up skills.

  • Demonstrated excellence in organization and time‑management skills.

  • Ability to identify and meet customers’ expectations and requirements.

  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.

  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to be self‑motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.

  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.

  • Experience creating job information sheets and establishing job files.

  • Assume total project supervision responsibilities in the Program Manager’s absence.

  • Prepare price change orders, project reports, and documentation.

  • Work with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information.

Travel:

  • Up to 25% (does not include local field visits).

Working conditions:

  • General work environment: sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.

  • Noise level is typically low to medium; it can be loud on a job site.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
