This role offers the opportunity to manage the full lifecycle of CAPEX projects—from concept development and business case creation through design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and operational handoff. As a key member of the Engineering team, you will partner with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Procurement, and Leadership teams to execute strategic manufacturing projects that improve productivity, reliability, safety, and cost performance across our processing and manufacturing operations.
This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has a proven track record of successfully managing capital projects, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering measurable business results.What You'll DOLead Capital Project ExecutionManage multiple CAPEX projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, budget, and performance objectivesLead projects through the complete project lifecycle including feasibility studies, business case development, engineering design, procurement, installation, commissioning, validation, and startupDevelop technical specifications, engineering drawings, project schedules, and contractor scopes of workCoordinate internal stakeholders, external vendors, engineering consultants, and contractors to ensure successful project executionIdentify project risks and implement mitigation plans to maintain project performance and delivery timelinesDrive implementation of manufacturing, facility, utility, automation, and infrastructure projects aligned with business objectivesManufacturing Engineering & Continuous ImprovementPartner with Operations and Maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability, process capability, production efficiency, and asset performanceEvaluate emerging technologies and engineering solutions that enhance productivity, quality, sustainability, and operational effectivenessSupport process optimization initiatives and continuous improvement projects using data-driven decision-makingLead technical evaluations and provide engineering expertise for operational and expansion projectsEnsure effective transition of newly installed equipment and systems to operational teams through structured commissioning and handover processesCAPEX Planning & Financial ManagementSupport the development and execution of the annual capital investment strategyBuild robust financial justifications, ROI analyses, and investment proposals for capital projectsManage project budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, and financial reporting to ensure effective utilization of capital resourcesDrive cost reduction initiatives through engineering innovation, resource optimization, and project execution excellenceMaintain accountability for CAPEX spending and project financial performanceEngineering Standards, Compliance & SafetyEnsure all projects comply with applicable engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and company policiesProvide technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, automation, civil, utility, and facility engineering disciplinesPartner closely with EHS teams to ensure safe project execution and compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulationsParticipate in audits, inspections, and risk assessments while promoting a strong safety culture throughout project activitiesSustainability & Energy ManagementLead and support initiatives focused on energy efficiency, resource conservation, and sustainability improvementsIdentify opportunities to reduce energy consumption, utility costs, and environmental impact across manufacturing operationsSupport ISO 50001 and other sustainability-related initiatives through engineering analysis and project implementationConduct facility assessments, energy audits, and resource utilization studies to drive continuous improvementWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline5+ years of engineering experience managing capital projects within a manufacturing, industrial, processing, or production environmentDemonstrated experience leading CAPEX projects from concept through commissioning and operational handoffStrong knowledge of project management methodologies, engineering design, contractor management, and manufacturing systemsExperience developing project budgets, financial justifications, ROI analyses, and capital investment proposalsWorking knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment installation, process improvement, and asset reliability principlesExperience collaborating across Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Procurement, and Leadership teamsProficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, Power BI, and project management toolsStrong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skillsFluency in English, both written and verbally
