Engineering Project ManagerThe Project Manager is responsible for project planning and monitoring of the construction of high voltage electrical substations, transmission lines and distribution lines.
Responsibilities include:Accountable for the cost, schedule, safety, quality and completion of construction projectsCoordinate work with Purchasing to insure that requested material is expedited and received as needed for the construction of a projectManage multiple project teamsResponsible for the preparation and maintenance of cash flows, monthly billing, preparing and obtaining change orders for assigned projectsResponsible for the preparation and maintenance of monthly construction progress reports, re-projections, files, etc, required for the construction of a projectResolve inter-group conflicts, project conflicts and delays as required to meet project construction goalsTravel out of town for short periods of time as required by projects and assignmentsOther duties as requiredExperience you will need:Bachelors degree in Electrical of Civil Engineering or equivalent is required.Professional Registration if preferred.10 years experience in the design, construction or operations of substations and/or transmission lines is required.10 years of experience in the supervision/management of budgets and work groups is strongly preferred.Demonstrated understanding of substations, substation control and transmission systemsUnderstand financial aspects of project controlInterpersonal skills, technical knowledge, organizational ability and leadership talentExperience with MS Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.Working in a team environmentCommunicating effectively with co-workersWilling to travel
