Engineering Project ManagerQuanta Power Solutions is seeking a driven and technically skilled Engineering Project Manager to support major power-generation projects based out of our Birmingham office. This role plays a critical part in delivering large-scale EPC initiatives across the power sector, including gas turbines, renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and transmission systems.The Engineering Project Manager will lead the planning, design, and execution of critical infrastructure projects, ensuring engineering deliverables are technically sound, efficiently executed, and seamlessly integrated across all disciplines. This role provides technical leadership and engineering oversight throughout the full project lifecycle while partnering closely with operations, procurement, client teams, and project stakeholders.What You'll DoLead technical strategy and project execution across the full EPC project lifecycleServe as both engineering lead and project manager for complex design-build and EPC projectsOversee multidisciplinary engineering deliverables and review technical documents produced by subcontractors and internal engineering teamsEnsure all engineering activities comply with company standards, client requirements, and quality expectationsManage engineering resources, staffing plans, schedules, and overall project performanceCoordinate subcontractor and supplier scopes, pricing, schedules, and invoice approvalsCollaborate closely with field operations, procurement, customer account teams, and project stakeholdersMentor, train, and develop engineering personnel while supporting team growth and performanceSupport business development activities including client meetings, technical presentations, and proposal developmentDrive innovation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across engineering processesPromote and reinforce a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and integrityStay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and engineering best practices to support innovative project solutionsSupport construction execution and field coordination activities as neededPerform additional duties to support project and organizational successWhat You'll Bring Required Qualifications Strong technical expertise across process, structural, civil, mechanical, piping, and electrical engineering disciplinesDeep knowledge of engineering and construction standards, industry codes, and regulations including ANSI, ASTM, ACI, AISC, IEEE, NEC, and NESCStrong understanding of engineering workflows, multidisciplinary coordination, and full EPC project execution lifecycleExperience with scheduling, contracts, procurement coordination, risk mitigation, and project execution strategiesKnowledge of project controls, estimating, forecasting, and cost/quality management practicesProven ability to interpret complex business and technical challenges while developing effective, data-driven solutionsStrategic mindset with demonstrated success implementing engineering innovation and process improvementsAbility to manage multiple priorities independently in fast-paced project environmentsStrong organizational and leadership skillsEmployee may be required to visit job sites, field offices, and customer locations Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting EPC or design-build projects in power generation, renewable energy, substations, transmission, or industrial infrastructureExperience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on large-scale infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with utility-scale energy systems, commissioning support, and construction coordinationWhat You'll GetCompetitive CompensationWeekly Pay401(k) Retirement PlanHoliday PayPaid Time Off (PTO)Comprehensive Health CoveragePet InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Professional Development OpportunitiesTuition AssistanceEmployee Discount ProgramEqual Opportunity EmployerAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
