Engineering Program ManagerJoin a team responsible for developing technologies, calibration methodologies, and instrumentation for the calibration and validation of a popular consumer electronics company's products. This team designs solutions that will be used during new product introduction. You have experience with cameras, test & calibration stations, bringing up test lines, consumer electronics devices, and working with vendors.

You have cross-functional experience with internal team engineers to define test requirements, test for calibrating and testing cameras. You will be working on developing instruments or products with optical or camera backgrounds. You are a leader who can drive the development of our instrumentation in parallel to that of the product; you thrive in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.

You have a deep understanding of software and hardware fundamentals and a background in designing complex systems. You will apply your excellent communication skills and passion to lead multi-functional teams to develop ground-breaking products. Your contributions will make a pronounced difference to future embedded products that teams will take great pride in.Responsibilities:Establish and manage program feature baseline, scheduling, critical path, and technology risks areas for executionSupport project definition and drive closure of architecture and technical opensWork with the team to define the requirements and the station needed for calibrating camerasLead bring up on the entire line in the Cupertino areaDetermine what stations and calibration they need; then, lead the bring up of all the line and turn over to another team that will manage the testing/calibrationGrasp complex technical matters or abstract issues and present them in an actionable formIdentify and highlight risk areas and mitigation strategies making sure the right people are involvedResolve roadblocks for the teamCross-functionally communicate at a senior level key developments and updates on new instruments/fixturesHelp lead technical cross-functional teams in engineering and validation activitiesRequirements:5+ years of industry experience taking products all the way from concept design and architecture definition, through execution, including engineering development and validation to ramping and shipping5+ years of project management experienceStrong technical background, must have a good understanding on how hardware works (consumer device experience is highly desired)Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertaintySelf-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities, capable of identifying risk early in the projectWell-versed in setting up project schedules and work breakdown structuresExcellent communication skills verbally and writtenLeadership skills and ability to inspire team membersBS EE/ME/CE degree or related experiencePreferred skillsets:Camera or optical backgroundCamera calibration or camera test experienceWorking with vendors and test stations5+ years of industry experience taking products (preferably portable consumer electronics devices) all the way from concept design and architecture definition, through execution, including engineering development and validation to ramping and shippingMS desiredLocation: Cupertino, CA (alternates between 100% onsite and hybrid phases) Duration: 12+ months
