Engineering ManagerLocation: Only local candidates, Santa Clara, OnsiteDay one Engineering Manager with software development + hands on experienceKey Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of Python developers and software engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverablesDrive architecture, design, and development of complex Python-based applications and platformsManage end-to-end software development lifecycle including requirements, coding, testing, and deploymentCollaborate with cross-functional teams such as product, hardware, QA, and DevOps to define and deliver solutionsEnsure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and software quality processesOversee project planning, resource allocation, timelines, and risk managementConduct code reviews and improve application performance, scalability, and reliabilityDrive innovation, adopt new technologies, and contribute to product roadmap and technical strategyManage hiring, performance evaluations, and career development of team membersRequired Skills Qualifications:Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field8–12+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in Python2–5+ years of experience leading engineering teamsProficiency with Gen AI / code generation tools like Claude code etc.Strong knowledge of Python frameworks and package managementExperience with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker)Expertise in system design, microservices, and scalable architectureProficiency in tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, and build tools like GradleStrong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, or high-tech industriesExposure to AI/ML, data processing, or algorithm developmentExperience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)Knowledge of performance optimization and distributed systemsThe pay range for this role is *** per hour including any bonuses or variable pay. *** also offers benefits like medical, vision, dental, life, disability insurance and paid time off (including holidays, parental leave, and sick leave, as required by law).
