Engineering ManagerAn opportunity is available for an Engineering Manager to lead and mentor two backend feature teams. This role involves acting as a principal-level technical authority across backend systems, driving architectural decisions, and ensuring consistent delivery execution. The position requires partnership with product management and other engineering teams to refine roadmaps and deliver predictable outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and grow two backend feature teams, totaling approximately eight engineers.Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations.Partner with recruiting and HR to hire talent and build scalable onboarding and progression frameworks.Foster a culture of psychological safety, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.Act as a principal-level technical authority across backend systems.Drive architectural decisions across technologies including.NET (C#), Node.js, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and Cloudflare Workers.Define and enforce coding standards, testing strategies, and deployment best practices.Serve as the escalation point for complex technical and architectural challenges.Partner closely with Product Management to refine roadmaps and define scope.Monitor team velocity, remove blockers, and ensure consistent delivery.Collaborate with Platform Engineering and SRE teams on SLAs, observability, reliability, and cost optimization.Champion the responsible and effective use of AI-assisted development workflows across teams.Required QualificationsExperience: 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading engineering teams.

Demonstrated success hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers across multiple levels.Technical Skills: Expertise in.NET (C#) and Node.js in production environments. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure). Proven experience with Cloudflare Workers and edge computing architectures.

A background in distributed systems, API design, and event-driven architectures is required. Must be an active practitioner and advocate of AI-assisted development practices.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are necessary.Preferred QualificationsExperience with multi-cloud architectures and/or FinOps practices.Familiarity with additional Cloudflare products (e.g., Pages, AI Gateway, Zero Trust).Experience working in distributed or remote-first engineering organizations.Experience hiring and scaling teams in Central or Eastern European markets.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
