We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a team supporting new product launches and continuous improvement of manufacturing operations. This role combines technical leadership and project execution, with a strong emphasis on plastic injection molding and tooling, a critical part of our day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate brings deep injection molding expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to lead teams and deliver capital projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Implementation & Injection Molding Process ImprovementLead the implementation of new and replacement equipment, including robotics, conveyors, and assembly systemsOwn troubleshooting and resolution of complex manufacturing issues, with a focus on injection molding processes and tooling performanceEvaluate and improve molding processes, tooling, materials, and plant layoutsDrive safety improvements across equipment and processesTrain operations and maintenance teams on new equipment and process changesProject Management & Capital ExecutionDevelop business cases, secure approvals, and lead capital projects from concept through startupManage project scope, budget, timelines, and resourcesLead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and FinanceEnsure on-time, on-budget delivery of equipment and process improvementsProductivity & Continuous ImprovementIdentify and implement opportunities to improve throughput, quality, and efficiencyIntroduce and scale new manufacturing technologies, including automationDrive labor efficiency improvements through process optimization and tooling enhancementsNew Product Introduction (NPI) & R&D SupportSupport development of manufacturing processes for new products, with a focus on design for manufacturability in injection moldingCreate and maintain manufacturing documentation and standardsPartner with Finance to ensure accurate product costingDay-to-Day Manufacturing SupportProvide hands-on engineering support for production issues and downtime reductionPartner with maintenance and operations to improve equipment reliability and performanceQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field6–9+ years of experience in manufacturing engineeringExperience with plastic injection molding and/or toolingStrong hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilityProven experience managing capital projectsDemonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing settingAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office and CADPreferred ExperienceExperience with injection molding tooling, validation, and process optimizationExperience implementing automation (robotics, integrated systems)Background in high-volume manufacturingNewell Brands (NASDAQ: NWL) is a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands, including Rubbermaid, Sharpie, Graco, Coleman, Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Yankee Candle, Paper Mate, FoodSaver, Dymo, EXPO, Elmer's, Oster, NUK, Spontex and Campingaz.
