Engineering Manager — InnovationOmaha RiverfrontLead the engineers building Gallup's next generation of products and platforms.As an engineering manager at Gallup, you'll lead the engineers responsible for our most forward-looking work, including the experiments, prototypes and net-new bets that will define the next decade of our business. You'll guide a team contributing to major launches and platform buildouts across CliftonStrengths®, employee engagement and other research-driven product initiatives, driving innovation from concept to production with clarity and discipline.You'll partner closely with product, design, research and fellow engineering leaders to ensure innovation work ships independently, predictably and at high quality, while maintaining alignment with core platform teams.What You'll DoLead, grow and develop a team of eight to 12 engineers across multiple concurrent innovation initiativesServe as the engineering voice in road map decisions for experimental and innovation workCoordinate with other engineering teams to achieve alignment and seamless integrationEstablish delivery standards, raise the technical bar and set the team's operating cadenceOwn the engineering side of cross-functional initiative kickoffs, midpoints and launchesSurface and resolve delivery risks before they become execution problemsPartner with architecture leadership to ensure innovation work supports long-term platform strategyRun hiring, performance management, leveling and career development for innovation engineersWhat Makes You Stand OutTechnical depth: You are comfortable in architecture discussions and code reviews and can push for sound engineering decisions without micromanaging.Platform mindset: You understand how experimental work fits into broader ecosystems and how to build without creating long-term technical debt.Strategic judgment: You see the broader picture, anticipate trade-offs and make decisions that balance speed with long-term impact.Leadership success: You build trust, create clarity and hold engineers accountable for delivering complex products predictably and at high quality.Cross-functional credibility: Product and design partners describe you and your team as clear, thoughtful, predictable partners who produce high-quality work.What You NeedBachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience, requiredAt least 10 years of professional engineering experience requiredAt least two years of experience managing full-stack or product engineering teams requiredDemonstrated success leading teams of eight or more engineers through complex, multi-quarter product launches requiredStrong technical foundation with the ability to contribute to architecture discussions and code reviews requiredExcellent cross-functional partnership skills, especially with product and design requiredTrack record of hiring and growing senior engineers requiredExperience leading teams through a product platform or ecosystem transition preferredBackground in B2B SaaS, edtech or assessment-driven products preferredFamiliarity with modern AI/ML integration patterns preferredA commitment to working on-site at Gallup's Omaha office at least three days per week requiredAbout GallupAt Gallup, we change the world, one client at a time, through extraordinary analytics and advice on everything important facing humankind. We also offer an estimated annual salary range of $150,000-$180,000 for this role.
