Job Summary
The Manufacturing / Tooling Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and continuous improvement of tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements. This role plays a key part in optimizing production efficiency, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring product designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with operational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes based on customer specifications
* Support development, debugging, and continuous improvement of tooling and production processes
* Analyze and improve manufacturing systems and workflows for efficiency and cost reduction
* Determine root causes of failures and recommend improvements to designs, tolerances, or processes
* Troubleshoot issues related to product design, materials, and manufacturing processes
* Review product designs for manufacturability, accuracy, and completeness
* Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve product performance
* Research and implement new technologies, methods, and processes
* Design, install, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment
* Communicate production capabilities, timelines, and technical information to support operations
Qualifications
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
* 2-5 years of related experience in manufacturing, tooling, or process engineering
* Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
* Proficiency in systems analysis and process improvement
* Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
* Ability to research and implement new technologies
* Strong technical design and engineering skills
* Effective time management and organizational skills
