Dev/Research Engineer 2Location: Mossville, IL 61552 (On-Site) Duration: 12 Months Daily Schedule: 7:30AM-4:00PMPosition's Contributions to Work Group:- Analysis of aftertreatment capability and sizing trade-offs. Design of catalyst canning and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) system components. This individual will be a point of contact for aftertreatment test instruction, project plan status, results, and next steps.Typical Day or Week in the Role Typical task breakdown:- Review test cell and field data and ensure no issues with Aftertreatment or performance shift.- Ensure all cell hardware is accounted for, current and future programs.

Make sure they are tracked properly electronically to accumulate hours.- Troubleshoot and fix aftertreatment related issues/codes in test cell, especially during install- Print releasing, knowledge and working with CAD based program and print reading.- Component design (aftertreatment canning, injectors DEF pumps)- Working with a purchasing team for quotes and proto-type part procurement- FMEA analysis and validation planning and testingInteraction with team:- The individual will be responsible for communicating results and issues to team members, suppliers and engine system development process partners.Work environment:- Mainly office, some labCandidate Requirements Education & Experience Required:- Years of experience: 2-5 years - Degree requirement: Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry or related curriculumTop 3 Skills:- Analytical Thinking - Managing Multiple Priorities - Product Design and DevelopmentAdditional Technical Skills (Required):- Test or Design Experience - 3D CAD program experience(Desired):- Proficiency in DatK and Canape - Excellent analytical skills - Experience with engine and/or aftertreatment performance data reduction and analysis. - Strong understanding of engine and aftertreatment systems. - Ability to draw conclusions from analysis and make decisionsSoft Skills (Required):- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to adjust to multiple demands, changing priorities, multitask effectively - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Quick learner(Desired):- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills - Self-starter with strong technical leadership skills - Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers.
