Engineering Designer - ElectricalProvide technical and functional support to the Vehicle Integrations team relating to vehicle installed and NPD harnessing, while adhering to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Costs metrics.A fulfilling career with the ability to contribute to an Industry leaderA comprehensive suite of benefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceA generous 401k matchProfit sharing for all full-time employeesAssist in the design, testing, and performance validation, of electrical harness / system prototypes which includes internal lab testing as well as external field testing.Produce detailed harness and mechanical drawings on CAD following company standards with minimal guidance.Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of vehicle installed electrical component function and quality.Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings, schematics, technical bulletins, and government regulations.Assist in creating product literature including vehicle and NPD electrical Installation Instructions.Support all 5S and other Lean activities.Complete other reasonably related duties as assigned.Familiarity with 12V DC electrical systems and common electrical components.
Experience working on vehicle electrical systems and general vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. 2D CAD skills are desirable but on the job training is available.Able to read and interpret drawings, schematics, electrical and mechanical blueprints, technical bulletins and procedures, or government regulations. Able to write operations and procedure manuals, and to effectively communicate with other employees of the organization.Able to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
