An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive Service Planning & Scheduling Coordinator to join a growing engineering service operation.

n

This role is ideal for someone with experience planning engineers, coordinating maintenance activities or scheduling field service work who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment.

n

You'll become a key part of the Service & Aftersales team, taking ownership of engineer scheduling, workload planning and resource coordination while helping to deliver an excellent service to customers.

n

This is a role where organisation, communication and forward planning are just as important as attention to detail.

The Role

n

As a Service Planning & Scheduling Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities across planned maintenance, commissioning and reactive service work.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

* Planning and scheduling engineering resource to meet customer and operational requirements.

n

* Managing engineer diaries and maintaining forward workload visibility.

n

* Coordinating planned maintenance visits, reactive call-outs and commissioning activities.

n

* Monitoring engineer availability, travel requirements and resource utilisation.

n

* Identifying scheduling conflicts and supporting effective resolution.

n

* Managing incoming service enquiries and allocating work appropriately.

n

* Coordinating service quotation requests and monitoring progress.

n

* Maintaining accurate planning information within service management systems.

n

* Supporting service administration, reporting and documentation.

n

* Working closely with operational teams to ensure service activities are delivered efficiently.

n

* Contributing to the development of planning processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

n

This is a varied operational role where you'll have genuine responsibility for helping to keep engineering activities running smoothly.

About You

n

We're looking for someone who enjoys planning, solving problems and working collaboratively with engineers and customers.

n

You'll ideally have:

n

* Previous experience within service planning, maintenance planning, engineering scheduling or operational coordination.

n

* Experience planning mobile engineers or field-based service teams.

n

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities.

n

* Excellent communication and customer service skills.

n

* Experience using ERP, service management or scheduling software.

n

* High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

n

* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

n

* Ability to remain calm and organised in a busy operational environment.

n

Experience gained within engineering, manufacturing, facilities management, HVAC, building services, utilities or other technical service organisations would be highly advantageous.
