Engineering Controls TechnicianCAMACO is seeking an Engineering Controls Technician to support automated manufacturing equipment in a high-volume automotive production environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems, robotic cells, and electrical controls to minimize downtime and improve system reliability.The Controls Technician works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure automation systems operate safely and efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley preferred)Support robotic welding cells (Fanuc preferred)Diagnose electrical, sensor, and control system issuesAssist with HMI updates and control modificationsSupport preventive maintenance and downtime reduction effortsRead and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logicAssist with new equipment installation and startupMaintain accurate documentation of changes and repairsQualificationsAssociate degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)2+ years experience in automated manufacturing or industrial maintenanceStrong electrical troubleshooting skillsBasic PLC troubleshooting experienceAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentWork Environment300,000 sq ft automated automotive manufacturing facility160+ robotic welding cellsStamping presses and tube millsHands-on, team-oriented production environment
