Overview
An award-winning automotive supplier is seeking an Engineering and Maintenance Manager to lead a fast-paced facility near Mansfield, OH. Having completed a successful turnaround and now experiencing rising capital investment and new business wins, the plant is positioned for growth, and this role will oversee both engineering and maintenance functions as a key member of the site leadership team.
What you'll do
- Lead, coach and mentor the engineering and maintenance team
- Manage day-to-day production engineering needs
- Improve manufacturing processes by eliminating bottlenecks and improving throughput
- Champion engineering projects to completion, within budget and established timelines
- Manage the annual capital equipment budget
- Drive continuous improvement projects to completion
- Support complex electrical troubleshooting, including PLCs, robotics and other automation
- Lead validation of new equipment
- Give presentations related to engineering projects, metrics, timelines and budgets
- Prioritize facilities and maintenance projects
- Direct and manage troubleshooting of equipment, delegating projects as needed
- Develop, implement and improve preventative maintenance programs
- Oversee external contractors
- Complete all required reports for upper-level management
- Develop, monitor and improve engineering KPIs
- Other duties as delegated by management
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- At least three years of similar manufacturing engineering management experience
- Experience managing others
- Strong manufacturing background
- Experience supporting a multi-shift operation
- Strong background with continuous improvement
- Experience overseeing budgets
- Experience working in automated environments
- Microsoft Office proficiency
Preferred qualifications
- Ideally, experience with an automotive supplier or in fast-paced, mass production manufacturing environments
- ERP experience preferred
- Power BI preferred
- Microsoft Project preferred
- Lean and/or Six Sigma Certifications preferred
