Engineer I-Design [ASIC]

Job Description:

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Engineer I - Design to join their team in San Jose, CA. This role involves designing, simulating, and verifying RTL-based blocks for embedded control applications, contributing to a multi-billion dollar global organization known for its commitment to employee growth and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop RTL and ASIC components.
• Create detailed module designs and performance analyses.
• Participate in RTL implementation, synthesis, and simulation.
• Conduct pre-layout and post-layout timing verification.
• Utilize high-speed design techniques to enhance data processing and reliability.
• Support design porting into test chips and emulation platforms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Experience in high-speed RTL design and practical application of design courses.
• Proficiency in RTL design tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with SystemVerilog and scripting languages (TCL, Perl, Python).
• Ability to design complex state machines and data path logic.

• Ability to write detailed design specifications and clean presentations.
• Understanding of industry standards and design verification processes.
