Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical/Structural Design Engineer to perform analysis, design, and testing of moderately complex materials, structural components, and functional systems. This role involves applying engineering principles, using advanced design tools, developing test programs, and coordinating with technical teams to ensure high-quality, compliant designs. The engineer will be responsible for interpreting requirements, creating solutions, and validating design integrity through structured evaluations and test activities.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analysis, design, and testing of materials, structural components, and functional systems.
• Utilize Siemens NX and apply GD&T principles to designs.
• Develop original design concepts and refine preliminary design ideas into practical solutions.
• Evaluate completed designs, recommend modifications, and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Coordinate the conduct of test programs to validate designs and document results.
• Manage test article fabrication, execution, and reporting.
• Plan and execute engineering tasks to support project schedules and requirements.
• Collaborate with senior customer personnel and cross-functional teams on technical matters.
• Research and apply new technical solutions to engineering challenges.
• Represent the organization as a technical contact on assigned projects.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of related experience, or Master's degree in Engineering with 3+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX and strong working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) .
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance .
