Overview

• Responsibilities include analyzing and drafting key project development contracts, such as power purchase agreements and other offtake arrangements.
• Work involves framework commercial agreements, joint venture transactions, and serving as the go-to associate on project and portfolio acquisitions with related financing support.
• Requires an ability to use and adapt a range of commercial structures for solar, wind, geothermal, natural gas, battery, nuclear projects, and for data center and utility buyers.
• A strong desire to develop mastery of structuring and negotiating energy project development transactions is essential.
• The role involves daily direct contact with clients, firm partners, and counterparty counsel, necessitating strong communication and project management skills.
• The firm's Energy & Climate Solutions (ECS) team provides services across project development and commercial transactions, project finance and securitization, corporate finance, and energy regulatory matters.
• The ECS team's client base includes emerging nuclear and enhanced geothermal companies, independent power producers, and global hyper-scalers pursuing energy supply for AI.
