Endoscopy Technologist, PRN, Baptist Downtown

Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a PRN Days position, 40 hours per week. This position requires call and qualifies for competitive call differentials.

As a surgical technologist in this role, you will work as part of the surgical services teams in the Endoscopy unit. The individual will assist the team during procedures, ensure a sterile environment, hand instruments to surgeons during procedures, and maintain patient safety. Throughout the day, precision, attention to detail, and teamwork are paramount in providing quality patient care.

As a Surgical Technologist for the Endoscopy unit, your responsibilities and qualifications will include:

Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures

Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly

Proper disposition of specimens and instruments

Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety

Call is required for this position.

Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program

Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program preferred NBSTA or NCCT, but not required

Experience Requirements:

Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience

Less than 1 year Endoscopy Technologist Experience Required

Education & Credential Requirements:

High School Diploma Required

Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
