Job Summary
The Endoscopy Technician provides service and support before and after endoscopic procedures. This position will not be working as a scrub.
Responsibilities
- Reprocess endoscopes and clean them after procedures.
- Stock and arrange equipment and supplies in the endoscopy room prior to each procedure.
- Assist with patient care, dressing, and discharging of patients.
- Turn rooms around and expedite room turnover.
- Provide basic care and conduct some diagnostic tests.
- Maintain endoscopic equipment and manage supply inventory.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of hospital or healthcare experience in a clinical setting required.
- Experience with endoscopy or sterile supply preferred.
- CRCST or CST certification preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward problem‑solving.
