Position Duties
- Prepares for procedures by pulling appropriate instruments and supplies for individual cases, ensuring the working order of instrumentation and equipment prior to the start of each procedure.
- Participates in re-stocking, re-supplying, and cleaning of endoscopy rooms, specialty carts, and equipment, maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work area and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Cleans endoscopy scopes according to manufacturer’s recommendations and AAMI standards.
- Assists under the direction of the physician and RN before, during, and after diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.
Position Qualifications
Education
- Completion of a course of study leading to a high school diploma or equivalent (Required).
Experience
- One year Endoscopy or Surgical Technician experience (Required).
- Pediatric experience (Preferred).
Additional Requirements
- Current BLS Certification from American Heart Association (Required).
- Completion of Endoscopy Technician program (Preferred).
