Sanford Health is seeking a fellowship-trained Endocrinologist to join an established department at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This is a 100% Endocrinology opportunity, predominantly focused on outpatient practice, driven by strong regional growth. The role offers a diverse patient population with various endocrine and metabolic disorders, supported by a nurse line for after-hours services.
Practice Info
- Join an established Endocrinology department as the third fellowship-trained physician
- 100% Endocrinology practice, predominantly outpatient
- Opportunity to treat a wide range of cases including thyroid cancer, parathyroid, pituitary, adrenal, metabolic bone disease, dyslipidemia, diabetes, and thyroid disorders
- On-site diabetes management with Insulin Pump trained educators
- Nurse line available for after-hour services, patient phone calls, and Rx renewals
- Call is 1:3 supporting a tertiary care center with a very manageable call burden
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examinations
- Admit patients (if applicable to the setting)
- Provide treatment or consultative services
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical care for adult and adolescent patients with endocrine or metabolic system disorders
- Perform needle aspiration with ultrasound guidance
- Interpret continuous glucose monitor sensor (CGM) downloads
- Perform FNA, thyroid US, and DXA interpretation if desired
- Teach residents and medical students (optional)

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency program
- Successful completion of a fellowship in Endocrinology accredited by the ACGME, AOA, or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Board Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the ABMS, AOA, or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (required within five years of fellowship completion if not board-certified at application)
- Demonstrate active involvement in inpatient services for at least 50 patients in the last 12 months (if not applying directly out of fellowship)
- Demonstrate active involvement in the care of 50 patients in clinical practice in the last 12 months (if quality profile is unavailable)
