Endocrinologist

Mount Sinai South Nassau is seeking a full-time General Endocrinology Physician to join their growing Division of Endocrinology. This role involves becoming part of a full-time faculty in-patient and out-patient general Endocrinology practice, with opportunities to sub-specialize in specific endocrine illnesses. The physician will be part of a multi-specialty team in a hospital setting located in Nassau County on Long Island, and will participate in teaching within the Internal Medicine Residency Program.

• Work closely with a variety of specialists in Medicine and other Departments
• Work closely with the Diabetes Education Center
• Part of the Thyroid / Parathyroid Center, working closely with senior Head/Neck Surgeons

Responsibilities

• Provide office-based and in-patient consultations on the Endocrinology service
• Participate in teaching in the Internal Medicine Residency Program
• Serve a diverse population
• Administrative duties in coordination with the Metabolic Disorders Service Line Administrator
• Work in collaboration with a full-service Diabetes Education Center

Compensation

• Compensation range from $220,000 to $250,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
• Salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University
• New York Medical License
• BE or BC in Endocrinology

• Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills

• Experience with the various glucose monitoring systems and insulin delivery devices such as: continuous glucose monitoring, insulin pump therapy, and insulin pens
