El Camino Health Medical Network is seeking a dedicated and patient-centered Endocrinologist to join our growing specialty team. This role involves providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients with a wide range of endocrine disorders in an outpatient-focused setting. The Endocrinologist will work collaboratively with primary care providers and specialists to deliver high-quality care, improve chronic disease outcomes, and support continued program growth across the network.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic endocrine disorders (e.g., diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders)
- Interpret and manage complex diagnostic testing, including hormone panels, dynamic endocrine testing, and imaging studies
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with evidence-based guidelines
- Manage complex diabetes care, including insulin regimens, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and insulin pump therapy
- Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence
- Collaborate with primary care physicians, diabetes educators, dietitians, and other specialists to ensure coordinated, multidisciplinary care
- Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans to optimize clinical results and patient satisfaction
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, EPIC
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board certified or board eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
- DEA license
- California State Medical license
- Strong clinical, procedural, and communication skills
- Commitment to evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care
Preferred Skills
- Experience in outpatient endocrinology practice
- Expertise in diabetes management, including advanced technologies (CGM, insulin pumps)
- Interest in program development, population health, and quality improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with EMR systems
