Endocrinologist at Southcoast Health

Position Overview

Southcoast Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Endocrinologist to join our team of four physicians, supported by advanced practice practitioners and diabetes educators, participating in an American Diabetes Association certified Diabetes Management Program in an ambulatory practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose endocrine disorders such as diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal insufficiency, pituitary disorders, and osteoporosis in the outpatient setting, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor chronic conditions through follow‑up visits, adjust treatment plans and medications, and coordinate care or referrals for complex cases.
• Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists, including surgeons, nephrologists, and dietitians, to provide multidisciplinary care.
• Opportunity to work in the multidisciplinary Osteoporosis Center of Excellence.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• New graduates welcome to apply.
• Board certification or eligibility in Endocrinology.
• Must obtain Massachusetts licensure before starting practice.
• Current state medical license and DEA registration.
• Demonstrated clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and effective communication skills.
