Position

BC/BE General Surgeon with fellowship training in AAES Surgical Endocrinology to join our Division of Surgical Oncology in Temple, TX. This is an employed career opportunity with a generous benefits package that includes a competitive salary, productivity bonus, moving allowance, and no state income tax.

Position Highlights

• Established tertiary referral system.
• Fellowship training through AAES preferred; consideration for a surgical oncology fellowship will also be given.
• The Surgical Oncology Division currently consists of 7 surgeons and 3 NPs.
• Faculty position for BSW Temple AAES accredited Surgical Endocrine Fellowship.
• Integrated with a General Surgery Residency Training Program; the position will involve teaching residents and medical students with a faculty academic appointment with Baylor College of Medicine.
• Active clinical research and teaching opportunities are available.
• Continued practice of general surgery with possible additional care of breast diseases is also highly desired.
• Seeking a surgeon to provide advanced technology and surgical innovation, introduce state‑of‑the‑art techniques, and continue to build upon and support an established program of excellence for major and complex endocrine surgery.

Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Medicine.
• Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board.
• Where applicable, the employee shall currently be board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate board certification by the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists.
