End User Support Specialist - Shared Services CenterResponsibilities described in this section are fundamental to success in this position.Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone, email or in personPerform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questionsDetermine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customersWalk the customer through the problem-solving processDirect unresolved issues to the next level of support personnelModify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstationAssist with onboarding of new usersEnsure each workstation has a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, and any additional specialized equipmentInstall, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and softwareRecord events and problems and their resolution in ticketsFollow-up and update customer status and informationPass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal teamsIdentify and suggest possible improvements on proceduresAnalyze and isolate issuesOperate in a team environmentUses personal device to provide an additional layer of security for company network and site access through multi-factor authentication.Work independently with minimal direct supervisionPerform various tasks and duties, including special projects, as assignedThe requirements listed below are the minimum degrees, certifications, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this position.4+ years' experience in Microsoft Windows desktop support3+ years' experience in Microsoft Office product suite supportExperience installing/configuring desktop phones and printersExperience with Apple products is considered a plusKnowledge of CDK DMS is considered a plusThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Accustomed to working regularly with desktop, notebook, handheld, and server computer hardwareAbility to work with local and wide area network design, implementation, and operationAbility to coordinate with vendors, contractors, etc.Working knowledge of various office productivity software programs, such as Microsoft Office products and communication hardware/softwareStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to train employees on the use of all IT applicationsAbility to effectively communicate through verbal and written mediums, with individuals across the leadership spectrumProven ability to deliver exceptional customer experienceEmployee must be able to pass a drug/alcohol urinalysisThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those one may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
