The role focuses on Linux kernel, boot firmware, and low-level libraries, collaborating with hardware and software teams to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and security. This role also includes optimizing existing software and enabling new architectural features.Technical Skills and ExpertiseDeep understanding of computer architecture concepts, including high-performance designs, weak memory models, server platforms, and the hardware/software interfaceProficiency in C, assembly language, and build systemsExperience in systems programming with Python or similar languagesFamiliarity with distributed version control systems and modern software development best practicesExpertise in developing software virtual platforms, low-level boot firmware, and debugging tools in pre-silicon and on hardwareExperience building to platform standards, including UEFI, ACPI, and SystemReadyRole and ResponsibilitiesAssist in defining future high-performance SoCs and platformsCollaborate with the performance team to identify hardware optimization areasCreate optimizations and drivers for high-performance platformsEnsure existing operating systems run efficiently and identify opportunities for performance enhancementsMinimum Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
