Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)Onsite Innovations is now hiring an experienced and self-driven Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for a PRN position (as-needed). This role will provide healthcare support at our onsite healthcare clinic located at our client's distribution center in Clyde, OH! As-needed: M-F 2:00pm-10:00pm, 10:00pm-6:00am (site has 1st shift as well that can be covered, but shift has more coverage).The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will be responsible for providing emergency medical and trauma care to patients in various settings.

Perform triage and provide urgent care to patients. Deliver high-quality patient care in line with established protocols. This role requires efficient and accurate delivery of one-on-one patient care while thriving in a fast-paced environment ensuring every patient is treated with quality clinical care and is provided a welcoming and respectful experience.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMay perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing - training providedPrepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing including but not limited to vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, pulmonary function tests, audiogram testing and respirator fit testingMay be required to perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.) - training providedDetermine nature and extent of illness or injury to establish first aid procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance, basing decisions on statements of persons involved, examination of patient, and knowledge of emergency medical practiceResponsible for performing routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician as well as triaging emergent patients as neededMay assist clients with case management of injuries and follow-up care.Ability to work independently and perform well under pressure and make quick decisionsDispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician and in accordance with state regulations and standing ordersAdminister prescribed first-aid treatment potentially performing such activities as application of splints, administration of oxygen or intravenous injections, treatment of minor wounds or abrasions, or administration of artificial resuscitationAt the direction of the Center Medical Director, communicate with professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facility to obtain instructions regarding further treatment and to arrange for reception of patients at treatment facilityComplete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices as well as testing processes used in the centerMaintain supplies, clean equipment and onsite clinic.Complete any applicable training including but not limited to clinical competency training that occurs monthlyMaintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keepingNotify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or facility is not operating as expectedKeep patients informed of expected wait times during all aspects of the center visitFollow HIPAA guidelines and safety rulesAttend client safety team meetings or huddles as requiredAssist client with wellness activitiesAssist in maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly appearance throughout the facilityExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated medical knowledge, techniques and information needed to treat injuriesDemonstrated ability to administer first aid/emergency careDemonstrated ability to speak effectively and convey information to supervisors, peers and customersDemonstrated ability use judgement and perform critical thinkingDemonstrated intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, Outlook and entry of data into various systems/applicationsEEO StatementConcentra is an equal opportunity employer that prohibits discrimination, and will make decisions regarding employment opportunities, including hiring, promotion and advancement, without regard to the following characteristics: race, color, national origin, religious beliefs, sex (including pregnancy), age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, citizenship status, military status, marital status, genetic information, or any other basis protected by federal, state or local fair employment practice laws.
