This position requires sound clinical judgment, adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to remain calm and effective in dynamic and high-stress environments.In addition to patient care responsibilities, the EMT-IV ensures assigned ambulances are mechanically sound and appropriately equipped at the beginning of each shift, participates in station responsibilities and training, and emergency response position. For these shorter shifts, hours worked beyond 12 hours in a single workday are paid at 1.5 times the employee's regular rate.Compensation & BenefitsBase Compensation Range: $20.67 - $24.61 hourlyFor EMS positions: Compensation is subject to specific overtime rules in accordance with Colorado labor law and PSMC’s Payroll and Timekeeping Policy. EMS employees scheduled for shifts of 24 consecutive hours or more are paid at the regular base rate for up to 40 hours per workweek; hours worked beyond 40 in the same workweek are paid at 1.5x the base rate. These employees do not qualify for daily overtime after 12 hours due to the medical transportation exemption. For EMS shifts under 24 hours, time-and-a-half is paid for any hours worked beyond 12 in a single day.Benefits: Benefits include generous paid time off, separate sick leave, health, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, long-term disability and option for short-term disability, and retirement plan with employer contribution.Job Type: Full-timeAnticipated End Date for Posting: October 9, 2026.
