Responsibilities

Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing immediate medical assistance at the scene of incidents or accidents.
Assess patient conditions through thorough physical examinations and vital signs monitoring.
Administer basic life support (BLS), medication administration, airway management, and injection techniques as needed.
Perform patient assessment including triage, vital sign measurement, and physiological evaluation to determine appropriate care.
Safely operate emergency vehicles while adhering to traffic laws; perform heavy lifting and physical exertion during patient loading and unloading.
Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as venipuncture and medication administration to ensure patient safety.
Communicate effectively with hospital staff regarding patient status and treatment provided during critical care transport.
Qualifications

Valid EMT certification with current licensure; prior EMT experience strongly preferred.
Critical care experience or hospital experience in emergency rooms or urgent care settings is highly desirable.
Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and emergency medicine protocols.
Experience with airway management, DME (durable medical equipment), venipuncture, and medication administration.
Familiarity with Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Center operations enhances readiness for complex emergencies.
Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, and patient care under pressure.
