The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of emergency protocols and possess the necessary skills to assess and treat patients in critical situations.
Responsibilities
* Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide immediate medical assistance to patients.
* Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions, including taking vital signs and performing physical examinations.
* Administer basic life support and triage patients based on their medical needs.
* Utilize durable medical equipment (DME) effectively during patient transport and treatment.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and communicate findings to receiving medical personnel.
* Stay current with emergency medical protocols and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements
* Valid EMT certification from an accredited program.
* Experience in an emergency room (ER) setting is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong knowledge of physiology and basic life support techniques.
* Proficiency in triage processes and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks, including lifting patients and equipment as needed.
* Commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining professionalism at all times.
