Compensation and benefits include:Base compensation range of $145,000.00-$175,000.00 annuallyCompetitive pay based on experience and qualificationsPaid time off, paid sick leave, and paid parental leaveMedical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance benefits401(k) retirement plan with company match above industry standardEmployee Assistance Program (for unforeseen life events and hardships)Opportunities for advancement and career growth within PFC Group of CompaniesDUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Conduct a formal Hazard Vulnerability Analysis (HVA) accounting for weather, crowd demographics, venue characteristics, and event-specific medical risks.Conduct advance site surveys with GSRS and event leadership to identify receiving hospitals, validate ingress and egress routes, assess crowd density and access limitations, and pre-position resources based on identified risk.Develop and submit a written Medical Emergency Operations Plan (MEOP) covering emergency vehicle ingress and egress, SOPs for ALS and BLS operations, Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) protocols and triage strategies, and ICS integration.Serve as the primary liaison between event organizers and local Fire/EMS, Public Health, and other relevant agencies; coordinate mutual aid for surge capacity, maintain a no-surprises approach with the Authority Having Jurisdiction, and ensure deployed staff hold valid licensure and operate under appropriate medical direction.Establish and manage a centralized Medical Command Post (MCP) with direct communication to local 911 systems and GSRS command elements; represent the organization within the event Command Post, maintain appropriate span of control, and apply ICS and unified command principles.Manage stationary aid stations, mobile response teams, and standby ambulances; direct real-time deployment and positioning of resources, supply required medical consumables and durable equipment and maintain real-time resource mapping.Implement high-risk contingency protocols for heat and cold exposure, cardiac arrest, trauma, and overdose, while aligning operations with CDC and local public health guidance.Coordinate patient transfer and hospital distribution, including formal hand-offs at designated loading zones and routing patients based on hospital capability and system capacity.Maintain HIPAA-compliant Patient Care Reports (PCRs), provide real-time patient volume and acuity summaries to GSRS leadership, prepare an After-Action Report (AAR) with response analysis and improvement areas, and maintain redundant radio, cellular, and satellite/hardline communication pathways.REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this position:Over 10 years of experience serving as senior emergency services leader with a strong EMS command background and demonstrated capability in large-scale event operations and multi-agency coordination.Over 20 years of relevant total experience with a late career role as an EMS Chief, senior paramedic leader, fire officer, or equivalent, with significant EMS operational expertise.Proficiency in ICS and unified command environments.Experience in prehospital medicine, operational deployment, and resource positioning.Ability to function as both an operational leader and advisor within a corporate environment.Required EMS Licensure/CertificationCurrent Paramedic-level state licensure/certification, with substantial Advanced Life Support (ALS) field experience.Current CPR/BLS certification.Documented training and/or operational experience in Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) management and triage.Required ICS/NIMS TrainingFEMA ICS-100 – Introduction to the Incident Command SystemFEMA ICS-200 – Basic Incident Command System for Initial ResponseFEMA ICS-300 – Intermediate ICS for Expanding IncidentsFEMA ICS-400 – Advanced ICSFEMA IS-700 – National Incident Management System (NIMS), An IntroductionFEMA IS-800 – National Response FrameworkEquivalent documented ICS/NIMS training may be considered where appropriate. Candidates must also demonstrate practical experience functioning within ICS and Unified Command environments during complex, large-scale, or multi-agency incidents or events.PREFERRED EMS CERTIFICATIONS & TRAININGCurrent National Registry Paramedic (NRP) certification.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent.Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), International Trauma Life Support (ITLS), or equivalent advanced prehospital trauma training.Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), or comparable operational medicine training.FEMA IS-15 – Special Events Contingency Planning for Public Safety Agencies, or equivalent documented special-event planning experience.Formal training in recognized MCI triage methodologies, such as SALT, START/JumpSTART, or the methodology utilized by the applicable Authority Having Jurisdiction.Training or demonstrated experience in Emergency Operations Plan development, Hazard Vulnerability Analysis/risk assessment, medical contingency planning, and After-Action/Improvement Planning (AAR/IP).Candidates should demonstrate significant practical experience in large-scale event medical planning, EMS command and control, multi-agency coordination, MCI operations, medical resource deployment, hospital coordination, and integration into ICS/Unified Command structures.PHYSICAL DEMANDS & EXPECTATIONS:Approximately 20%-30% of this position will involve project-related travel.Participate in pre-event site surveys and provide on-site operational oversight throughout major events.Establish and operate a centralized Medical Command Post using interoperable and redundant radio, cellular, and satellite/hardline communications with local 911 systems and GSRS command elements.Oversee medical consumables, durable equipment, and deployed medical assets, including aid stations, mobile response teams, and standby ambulances.Ability to remain mobile and operational for extended periods during event deployments, including work in indoor and outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
