Employment SpecialistS:US is seeking an Employment Specialist for our Families with Children shelter located in Brooklyn.This position is located in Brooklyn, NYESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Familiar with Federal, State and Local laws and regulations as they apply to the community residence program and agency policiesProvides vocational services and consultation as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Visits clients in their home and other settings required.Familiar with OMH regulationsResponsible for integrating vocational goals and servicesProvides aid and assistance through all phases of the vocational service provisionPerforming routine clinical services as a member of the TeamResponsible for charting client servicesResponsible Vocational portion or all of creating the service planResponsible for integrating vocational goals and services with the tasks of all the team membersResponsible for ensuring revisions to the plan as the participant's needs changeAdvocating for the rights and preferences of the participant whenever possibleResponsible for creating a monthly spreadsheet with names of tenants and their employment statusFollow-up quarterly with all employed tenantsAssist with making monthly contact with tenant as neededParticipate in bi-weekly monthly meetingParticipate in monthly supervision to address any work-related tasks or concernsOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSAssociates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to assist adults of diverse ethnicities, backgrounds, ages, and sexual preferences.Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.Evening hours are required.S:US IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERJoin a team of employees who care about the wellbeing of others.
