Kaufman Dolowich Attorney PositionThe White Plains, NY office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is actively seeking an attorney to join our growing Labor and Employment practice group.Our Employment Practice Group represents employers in complex and high-profile employment matters across a broad range of industries. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation, research, writing, and advocacy skills, with experience independently managing sophisticated employment matters through all phases of litigation.ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage all phases of employment litigation from inception through resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related filingsConduct and defend depositions and participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and other dispute resolution proceedingsAttend and advocate at court appearances, hearings, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and trialsHandle matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, restrictive covenant matters, and other employment-related claimsAdvise and counsel employers on workplace issues, employment law compliance, personnel matters, and risk management strategiesManage discovery, motion practice, investigations, and case deadlines in both state and federal courtsCommunicate directly with clients, provide strategic guidance, and maintain strong client relationshipsCollaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups to develop litigation strategies and achieve favorable outcomesQualificationsMinimum of 4 years of employment litigation experienceAdmission to practice in New York requiredExperience handling matters in state and federal courtDemonstrated experience drafting and arguing motions, conducting depositions, and representing clients in mediations and other proceedingsExcellent legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication abilitiesAbility to independently manage an active caseload and prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to client servicePreferred ExperienceEmployment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour litigationFederal and state wage and hour matters, including collective and class actionsTraditional labor and employment law mattersInvestigations before the U.S. Department of Labor, New York State Department of Labor, EEOC, and state and local human rights agenciesAdvising employers on workplace policies, compliance issues, and personnel management strategiesWhy Join Kaufman Dolowich?Collaborative and entrepreneurial culture with strong mentorship and supportSignificant opportunities for professional growth, client development, and advancementUnlimited PTO for AttorneysCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageRobust discretionary and billable-based bonus opportunitiesMeaningful client contact and hands-on litigation experienceBase Salary Range: $140,000-$160,000Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer.

Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate's experience, skills, and job-related qualifications.
