Direct Counsel is seeking an Employment & Labor Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join a leading law firm with a strong national platform and a highly respected employment practice.
About the Role:
This position offers hands-on, substantive work across a wide range of employment matters. The ideal candidate brings broad experience and strong judgment, along with an interest in growing within a dynamic and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:

• Handle all phases of employment litigation, including case development , legal research and writing , discovery , witness interviews , and brief drafting
• Provide employment counseling on policies and practices , statutory and regulatory compliance , and employment/separation agreements
• Work closely with partners and senior attorneys, with opportunities to mentor junior associates
• Contribute to a practice that values initiative, teamwork, and high-quality client service

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of employment law experience
• Strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing and communication skills
• Demonstrated motivation, initiative, and professionalism
• Active California Bar admission required

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range: $225,000-$260,000, depending on location and experience
