Employee Health Clinician

Department: Employee Health
Bi-Weekly Hours: 80
Work Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Pay Range: $17.24 - $24.14
Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting the employee health nurse for the daily operations and functions of employee health services. Responsibilities include a variety of tasks from administrative work to caring for McLaren new hire candidates and employees performing a variety of medical procedures and tests including, but not limited to, vital signs, drug testing, fit testing, administering vaccines and medications as well as performing venipuncture.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Performs daily administrative activities including answering phones, appointment scheduling, and employee health medical record maintenance.
2. Administers tuberculosis testing for all employees. Conducts appropriate follow-up of positive results and ensures compliance with OSHA requirements.
3. Administers vaccines as required by policy. Records all vaccination information in accordance with policy and federal law.

4. Provides accurate and timely documentation of employee health records; maintains and ensures confidentiality of all employee files.

1. Provides and assists with fit testing for all employees.

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program (OR) one year of prior work experience as a Medical Assistant
• BLS Certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent, is required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start date.

Preferred:

• Current state Licensed Practical Nurse (OR) Medical Assistant certification.
• Three years of prior work experience in a medical setting.
• Tuberculosis Skin Test (TST) / Train the Trainer (TTT) certified.
• Certification and/or experience with point of care drug testing
