Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500students across its graduate and undergraduate programs. Located in a charming rural setting in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, theUniversity is just a 20-minute drive from the metropolitan areas ofAllentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and about an hour from thePhiladelphia metropolitan area. The Department of Elementary, Middle Level, Library and LearningTechnologies at Kutztown University invites applicants for ourtemporary adjunct pool in teacher education for the followingareas: PreK-4 methods courses in science, math, social studies, andliteracy. Middle level (grades 4-8) methods courses in literacy.Student teaching field supervision in both areas. Undergraduate orgraduate course offerings could be day or evening. We are seekingcolleagues who have a passion for preparing the next generation of teachers.
Minimum Qualifications
A master's degree in the field of education, with at least 5 years'experience teaching in K-8, is required.
Applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be certified tobe placed in our part-time adjunct faculty pool and will remain inthe pool while the pool is active. As need arises, applicants inthe pool will be considered and contacted for an on-campusinterview. During the on-campus interview, a successful interviewand demonstration of abilities are required to be selected.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate and at least one year of college-level teachingexperience or equivalent, experience working with diverse learnersis preferred.
ESL Endorsement, Special Education Certification, InstructionalCoaching Endorsement, and/or interests in teacher inquiry or actionresearch are encouraged.
