Emergency Veterinarian

A well-established, privately owned emergency animal hospital in San Antonio seeking an Associate Veterinarian with ER Experience.

This is a structured 3 shifts per week (3 on / 4 off) overnight role designed for veterinarians who want autonomy, strong technician support, and the ability to practice quality emergency medicine without corporate pressure.

What You’ll Do :-

Provide emergency and critical care for canine and feline patients
Triage urgent and critical cases
Diagnose and stabilize trauma, toxicities, shock, respiratory distress, and surgical emergencies
Perform emergency procedures such as:
GDV
Foreign body surgeries
C-sections
Wound repair and urgent soft tissue procedures

Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
Maintain accurate medical records
Interest in exotics or orthopedic procedures is a plus but not required.

Qualifications :-

*DVM (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
*Licensed (or eligible) in Texas
*Small animal experience required
*ER experience preferred but confident GPs transitioning into ER are welcome
*Calm under pressure, decisive, team-oriented

Compensation & Benefits :-

$150,000 $180,000 base salary (based on experience) + 22% production
